Depex Plumbing & Drainage

About Depex

A small Tri-Cities crew that takes plumbing seriously.

Depex was founded in 2026 by a team of plumbers and contractors with more than 20 years in the trade, around one idea: tell people the truth about their plumbing, charge a price you agreed in advance, and do the repair well enough that they never think about it again.

Our story

New company. Twenty years of hands on the tools.

Depex runs out of Coquitlam, which is what lets us hold a one-hour emergency target across the city and still reach most of the Lower Mainland quickly. Being local is also why we know the housing stock so well.

The homes here tell you a lot before you open a wall. Post-war bungalows across Maillardville and east Burnaby tend to have cast-iron drain stacks that have scaled down to half their original diameter. The 1980s and early-90s builds are where we find polybutylene supply lines — grey plastic pipe with a failure record that makes it worth replacing on your schedule rather than on its own. And almost anywhere with mature trees, the clay or concrete sewer lateral running to the city main is a root-intrusion problem waiting for a wet November.

Knowing that in advance changes the job. It means we arrive with the right camera reel and the right fittings, and it means the quote we give you reflects what we're actually likely to find.

What we will not do

  • Quote a number over the phone that we know we'll revise on site.
  • Add an after-hours premium because you had the bad luck to flood at midnight.
  • Recommend a full replacement when a spot repair will genuinely hold.
  • Close up a wall or a trench before you've seen what's behind it.

    Our promise

    What you get, in writing

Plumbing is a trust business. These are the things we'd want from a contractor working on our own house.

    • Licensed and insured

We work under full liability and WorkSafeBC coverage. Ask for the paperwork any time — we'd rather you did.

    • Flat price, written first

You approve a number before we start. If we find something behind the wall, we stop and re-quote instead of quietly adding to the bill.

    • No overtime surcharge

A burst line at 3 a.m. on a Sunday costs the same as a Tuesday afternoon. Emergencies are expensive enough already.

    How it works

    Four steps, no surprises

The part people dislike about plumbers is not knowing the price until the end. We flipped that order.

    Call or send the details

Describe the problem, or send a photo. We'll tell you on the phone whether it's an emergency or something that can wait until morning.

Book a window that suits you

Same-day slots for urgent work, scheduled visits for planned jobs, and after-hours for commercial sites that can't close.

    Diagnose, then quote

We find the actual cause — camera, meter, or pressure test — and give you a written flat price before any work begins.

    Fix it and prove it

We complete the repair, test it in front of you, clean up the work area, and leave you the documentation.
